The Day after Christmas

The day after Christmas, after having attended mid night Mass
and then consuming quite a bit of rich food, and a few drinks, we all feel rather letargic and... just want to take it easy,in other words,we do not feel like doing any
physical work at all,and I am no different. Christmas Day is really meant for the
children and it is great just to see them opening their presents, and hurrying on to
the next just to see what it contains!
A very short edition today, but it is time for a cool orange juice!
I will put more pictures up next time.
Regards to all

THE LAST FISHING DAY for 2005

Yes today was the last fishing day for 2005,
and in contrast to the November fishing trip,
today the weather conditions were much better,
the wind did pick-up a bit,but the fishing was a lot
more rewarding,I got 22 fish(not all top quality fish)
but a fish is a fish!
The Club President hooked the largest fish...A Groper,
see picture

I'm quite happy with my catch, and there is always the oppurtunity to do better next time.

This is the sunrise on the water! It was quite nice this morning.

and you can also see my catch! Ready to be cleaned, and

put in the freezer.( For a rainy day?)

I WISH ALL THE READERS

A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Last Raffle Before Christmas

I missed out on going to the raffle last Friday, as I was on baby sitting duty.

But tonight I again was lucky enough to win 3 prizes-one tray of Lamb Cutlets (12) , one tray of Sirloin Steak (7) and the last prize that I won, was a bottle of Port ( Penfolds Club Tawny), so all in all it was a profitable and enjoyable night.

All the meat went straight in the freezer, as we already had meat cooked. No wonder Mary " the local butcher" ask my daughter in-law the reason why she had not seen me in the shop lately! I could tell her" The freezer is full of meat". Next Sunday I'll be going Fishing again, and lets hope that the weather will be kind to us this time. I will try and publish a special for Christmas. and to those that may miss it, I WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Poem from Malta

Lady Dai

On that fatal night in Paris,
Of August the thirty-first,
Lady Dai was killed in horror
As she was chased by the press,

She was liked for her compassion,
Had a noble heart and great
She was humble and beloved,
The fact is she was a Saint

All the world was shocked to hear,
The sad news that she had died,
All the people were so horrified,
They were stunned and simply cried.

What happened is so ironic
So tragic and so sad,
The very people who made her,
Have now hounded her to death.

Gain is the culprits’ only motive,
Like the vultures at their prey,
They don’t care if they will harass
And inflict wrath and dismay.

We now pray for her survivors,
For Dodi, and the other man,
Now they rest in peace for ever
Where we shall all go like them.

Let her children and the famous
Have a private life that’s free
And let them enjoy their freedom
Like the paparazzi, you and me.

We now kneel and pray to haven
So that God may ease the pain
If this will not serve a lesson
Lady Dai died in vain.
