Garden Lovers nursery visit

Saturday July 22nd . Yesterday as promised both my wife and I went to Flower Power wholesale nursery.http://www.flowerpower.com.au It was a most enjoyable day,to be shown around
their vast nursery, growing thousand of plants. I took a number of photos, and I will share some
of them with you. Lunch was provided for everyone , around 600 guests, all quite hungry, after a lengthy tour of the large nursery grounds. At every stage of the tour there were people, all
experts in their field, explaining and answering just about all the questions asked of them.
And we were all given various gifts and giveaways, which were very much appreciated, in the way of seeds, fertilisers, watering saving granules, leaflets, and even an emergency rain- coat, in case of rain. But it was not needed.

Long line of
parked cars,
and their occupants
making their way
to the main
entrance

No Raffle Winnings

I have to report that this evening, I had no winnings in the weekly Raffle but sometimes it is better not to win anything, as it happen last week, I ended up having to try out our win,
and it turned out that I had to do the floors in all the rooms. So much for winning a"Steam Floor Cleaner" But I must say it did a good job, it remains to be seen if I now have the job PERMANENTLY. Sometimes it pays not to do a very good job around the house! Tomorrow we'll be going on a tour of the Arborglen nursery. I'm hoping to take a good number of photos, and share them with you in future postings,I hope that it will be a nice day (weather wise)

See you all again soon

Lebanon

Lebanon is a beautiful country, but it seems destined to be always in the midst of WAR Just when it was beginning to be returning to a normal existence, after many years of strife,
it finds itself again in flames. Many Lebanese people that I know and have worked with, wish for no more than to be left alone, so that they could resolve any internal problems themselves.
I wish that all hostilities can come to an end, so that they can re-start restoring their shattered lives and country.
I wished that I could have found some more peaceful photos of Lebanon to post. Hope that PEACE
returns soon.

Roussos Concert

Last Saturday night, my wife and I went to the Sydney Opera House to a concert by Demis Roussos, the Opera House is a great venue for any artist to perform at, the atmosphere was great, (even with some empty seats) but I felt that the best days of Roussos are over, he still has a strong voice, but at times it seemed to let him down. I guess age catches up with all us in the end, but nevertheless it still an enjoyable evening, some of his popular hits received a big response from the audience. Here is a picture of Eileen, just before going in for the concert!
