Different day, same story
I need not tell you, because I think everyone knows that I again failed to win anything at this evening raffle. but one has to persevere, as it "Luck" can change at anytime, I just hope to be around, when it does. Tomorrow I'll just do a few things around the garden and then check all my fishing gear for the Sunday fishing trip ( at a very early hour) Looking forward to having better news to write about on Sunday evening (after I finish cleaning the fish!)
See you all then.

A Big Catch
This is a picture that was sent to me as an e-mail attachment. As I will be going fishing this coming Sunday, I thought it appropriate to include it on the Blog! I was wondering if I am lucky enough to make such a catch, do I have to buy a motorbike to bring it home? Not that I can ride one! As it turns out, this Sunday is the start of our "Daylight saving", which means that I'll have to get up at 1.00 AM instead of 2.00 AM, so looks like I'll be going to sleep at around 9.00PM. Hope it will be worth it. Hoping for a good result
Hoping for a good result tomorrow evening at the Raffle. Will publish result when I get back home tomorrow night.

Bad Weather--No Fishing
Due to strong winds and (rough seas), the Skipper contacted
our Fishing Club President,to inform him that the fishing trip
set for tomorrow morning (Sunday)was OFF due to the weather
but it should be OK for next Sunday. Hope the fish can wait for
that long.
Did not mean to
put them on the
Blog, but they
pretty, so I'll leave
them on also

It seems only a fading memory
I can only try and remember what it was like to win multiple prizes at the weekly raffle, as it is now, I don't think that I have won anything in the last 3 weeks, but all is not lost, next Sunday morning we'll be going fishing, and who knows, I COULD be lucky and hook a MONSTER. I can dream can't I? After all that is the dream of every fisherman, to hook a BIG one,and the dream of every gambler, is to have a huge WIN!
Very short and sweet this week, I could not find any good photos to publish!
Maybe I did not try too hard.
But the GARDEN is blooming
HAVE A NICE WEEKEND

Broadbeans--Picture Story
I thought that I would publish a short photo history
in the life cycle of some Boadbeans.
They are good to eat,and good for us!

Very Hot Day-and NO win at DOOLEY's
A very hot day, not too good for the plants in the Berala Patch
and to make things worse, the water restrictions are likely to
get even more severe, I was able give relief to the younger
seedlings.
The older established plants, should get through OK, the forecast
is for a cooler change on Sunday, after another hot day tomorrow.
The raffle was again a non event, I missed out on a prize by nine
numbers, but that was as close as I went to a prize, together with
my wife, we took 3 of our grandchildren with us,to the club, and
they had dinner there ( they are going back to school next week)
Apologies for lack of better pictures
This one is of some Broadbeans
taken a couple of days ago,
we have been picking them,for
the last week or so.
I could not resist putting this
one back on the Blog, I rather
like this photo.

Still no Good luck at Dooleys
Again this evening I have to report that I had no winnings at DOOLEYS the closest I got to winning, was 200 hundred numbers away. The last time that i went to the Club was two weeks back, and somehow I left my membership card there,(still do not how I managed to do that) but I guess I was lucky, as the card was waiting for me at the reception desk, so I suppose I was lucky,in at least having the card returned. Today we had a nice family get-together, with all the grandchildren, one of our friends from the North Coast was also here with us, Benjamin the only to be not present, as he is still away in Japan, he will get back this coming Sunday, after being away for two weeks with his school. I will have some news from the garden to include next week, the tomatoes are growing quite well, as are the zucchini, and few other things, next week I'll probably put up the netting over the fig tree, so the birds will get used to the fact that it is forbidden territory (not enough figs in the first crop to share with my winged friends)
A rose(Queen Elizabeth)
quite an old rose.
I haven't planted this
out yet (too busy?)
Better luck next week
Wish everyone a pleasant weekend
