July Fishing Trip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4kh0SIwsdc

As promised, today we went out for our monthly fishing outing, and it was quite fruitful; I ended up catching 19 fish, not all my favourites, but I was quite happy with the catch.

For the first hour, I could not catch anything, but then things improved and I ended up with the said total, others caught more than me, and also larger fish, so I did not qualify for any prizes, in a way it was just as well that I did not catch many more, as I'm not too keen to clean them, when I get back home.

We ate the flathead this evening, and we will have another couple tomorrow, and put the others in the freezer for another day.

It will feel goog going to bed a bit earlier this evening!

Two Visitors to BeralaPatch

As usual, went to the Club on Friday night, for the Raffle,BUT did not score a prize.

Tomorrow-Sunday, we are going out for the usual monthly fishing trip, and as usual

I,m hoping for a sizeable catch, especially as on the last outing (June), I did not go out,

as my wife and I were in Thailand, but as usual when I'm not there, they all had a very

good day out--Everyone caught fish- Hope they were telling the truth, as we all know

that fishermen can stretch the number and size of fish that they catch.

Yesterday morning, we had a couple of Birds visit our garden, and they were very friendly,

maybe they had escaped from captivity,I was able to get them to eat from my hand!
Their table manners could be improved.

This one looks like he would like to give a helping hand with putting the clothes out on the line!

But it is now almost time to go to bed,as I'll have to get up at around 2.00am, so good I bid
you all good night, and I'm hoping to be able to have some good news to bring you tomorrow.

Good Night

A Cleaning Prize

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt49Y9lVtZY

Tonights Raffle produced a "WIN" that may end up being anything but a win,

as you can see, the prize was made up of cleaning products.
Washing powder, 2 cakes of soap, a packet of "scrubbers", fabric softener, stain remover, a packet of " all purpose wipes", and a small bottle of "skin/softner",
If I get conned into using all the products, I may well need it.
There isn't too much happening in the garden front, apart from doing a bit of cleaning up,still have a few lettuce, I cut a cauliflower yesterday, and there are a few more ready to be cut in the next week or two, also some peas just starting to flower, and about a dozen plants of broadbeans.
I will let the soil rest for awhile, and get it ready for Spring.

Almost Back to Normal

Sightseeing in the "GRAND PALACE" in Bangkok, and the view from our room in the Grand China Princess Hotel, where we spent one night and one day, before leaving Bangkok to return home.

Contrary to some of the reports that I had read about the hotel on the internet, we found it quite nice, and the beds were made up even on the day that we checked out.

There is a nice revolving restaurant on the 25th. floor, with vast views of Bangkok, and nice service to go with it!

On the home front, went back to the Dooleys Club for the Friday night Raffle (first time in nearly one month) and won two prizes!
It is nice to go on holidays, but it is also very nice to return HOME!
