Ready for another Dooleys Fishing Day
Friday Raffle night, as usual did not produce any prizes, but the fun part is in taking part, rather than winning ! ( Try telling that to the athletes competing in the Olympics )
all ready for tomorrows fishing outing, but the weather does not look too promising, so I could be getting a phone call lather this evening, to let me know that is is all off, well the gear is ready, I bought some bait, so we'll have to wait and see.
Dropped out of the Chester Hill RSL's fishing day out on the 7th. of September, as it is also Father's Day in Australia, and the Family has been invited over for the day.
On Saturday morning, my wife and I are going away for one weeks holiday to Ayers Rock ( one place that I have wanted to visit for many years )
Hope to be able to take a few photos from around the place,to share in the Blog!
Cheers

PS As I suspected, I received a phone call from our Fishing Club President,at around 1.30 pm, that due to strong winds and high seas, the Fishing trip for tomorrow (Sunday) has been put off 'till the following Sunday, but I will not be going, as I'll be a long way from the ocean ...... In Ayers Rock !

Breakfast Tray
http://www.castlepatch.blogspot.com
I have not been in the winning circle lately Not in the Fishing, or the Raffle, but tonight, I managed to score one win in the Dooleys Raffle, winning one Breakfast tray, Eggs, Sausages, Bacon, Chops, it will come handy.
A shot of some Broadbeans, Peas and Broccoli, taken about 10 days apart.
The peas taste good, the Broadbeans still a way to go before I can pick them.

Fishing with the RSL Club
I recently joined The Chester Hill RSL Fishing Club, so that I would have another opportunity to go fishing, when the boat used by the Dooleys Club does not go out.
Yesterday Sunday, 7 members of the fishing Club waited on the harbour in Wollongong, to see what the decision of the skipper would be, as the wind was fairly strong, and we all thought that we would not be going out, but the skipper decided to go out, saying that if it got too rough, we would return, the first hour, a number of us expected the skipper to tell us that we would be going back, we had strong cold winds, and rising seas, but the skipper said that he had received reports that the winds had dropped in nearby areas, so we moved a few miles, and the conditions started to improve, and continued to do so, as the day, to almost perfect, the fishing also improved, I did manage to catch a few fish, but unfortunately not the most desirable types, but it is always nice to get a bite and to then wait to see what comes up!
