New Beginning ?....or Beginning of the End ?

Up to now, the only action at the site of the proposed New Shopping Centre, has been a lone worker, operating pumps, to pump out the accumulated water.

But this week there has been quite some action at the site.... or at least outside the site, most of the scaffoldings has been removed, and replaced by a timber wall, at least it looks neater, and part of the railway station is now visible again from the remaining shops.

I took a few photos this afternoon, and I'll share them with you.

On a different topic, I went fishing last Sunday, but it was not a good day, there are just not too many fish off Wollongong! I caught 5, which was not too bad on my part, some only caught 1 or 2 fish, and then the wind got stronger, making it a bit hard to try and fish, but I caught some, so we ate fish on Sunday night.

On the gardening side, things are going quite well.

The Cherry tomatoes are ripening, and are plentiful, the American Tree tomatoes are also grown quite well, and are just starting to set fruit, the plants still have a long way to grow.

New Year lunch with the Family

New Year 2009

2009 is now with us, and we celebrated with lunch at our house, with the Family, very nice! The only thing is that we had too much food left over, and that means that we'll be eating Prawns, Lamb Chops and Sirloin steaks for the first few days of 2009.

Well it could be a lot worse, like NOT having anything to eat!
