BERALA SHOPPING CENTRE- STILL A DREAM

The long wait for a shopping centre in Berala still seems to be a never ending dream, after long delays, and different owners, it looks like the "SHOPPING CENTRE SITE" is to get new owners! Last week, new signs went up on the perimeter fencing, announcing that the SITE, is up for SALE. Lets hope that any new owners will be able to re-commence, AND complete the project, so that BERALA will have its own shopping Centre again

40th. Wedding Anniversary in Port Douglas Qld.

Back from a few days holiday in Port Douglas

On the occasion of our 40th. Wedding Anniversary,June 15th. my wife Eileen and I, spent a few days in Port Douglas, staying at the Sheraton Mirage Resort, the weather was quite good, nice and warm, without being too hot, just pleasant weather to spend some time by the pool. Lots of space to move around, well kept gardens, and different pools to choose from, or a long beach to walk along, or jog....if one is inclined to do that, I decided to WALK.

On the 15th. the last night of our stay, we had dinner at the Nautilus restaurant, set amongst tropical trees, very thoughtfully floodlit. A nice romantic setting, great setting for a pre-dinner cocktail, to be followed by a very nicely prepared and presented meal!
