Dooleys Raffle Win

RUMP STEAK
After a long spell of not winning anything (apart from the $ 20 voucher) that got me nothing, this evening I did get a nice tray of steak, it will go a long way to make me think that I too can win prizes, it could be the beginning of a good winning streak.
Another fishing trip coming up this Sunday, so let the good luck continue.

Rose Bay Trip

Our Fishing trip from Rose Bay
Our fishing trip today, starting from the Rose Bay wharf, was interesting, we had a nice, well fitted out boat, with bucket seats, handy when one spends quite some time sitting down in one place; the seas were quite flat, it would have been a great day, if the Sun had been able to come through the clouds, but we did not see much at all, with the consequence, that it was COLD, and at the beginning, all we could could find, ( and catch ) were small Leather jackets, that despite their size, were still able to strip the bait off the hooks, but after a few moves, we were fortunate, to get on some very nice fish, I caught 3 Morwongs, two "pig fish", and 5 or 6 Leather jackets, that were too small, so I put them back in the sea. It was not a great result, but I was glad, that I went, and I think ...it won't be the last time!

Another try at FISHING

FISHING DAY AGAIN
Usually, nothing seems to go right for me lately, when I go to the club for the raffle, I don't win ( not lately) anyway, 2 weeks back, I won the last of the "pick of the table", a $20 voucher for "keno", and I played 20 games, and won $1 dollar, played again, and....you can guess....that was the end of the $ 1 also ! A few weeks back, we went fishing, to Wollongong , but the seas were too rough, so we come back home, without fishing.
But tomorrow I'll be going fishing with the Chester Hill RSL fishing Club, and for the 1st time, we are using a boat from Rose Bay (Sydney Harbour), so I'm hoping for good luck, and maybe, just maybe a good size FISH !
By the way still nothing good to report about the BERALA SHOPPING CENTRE, the car park has now being fenced off, so it is now much harder to find a parking spot near the remaining shops, and it is also much for train commuters to park their cars, before catching a train, and according to the "Review", the local paper, looks like that Railcorp, wants the pylons supporting the embankment, between the rail lines and the "Berala Hole" made more permanent, as it appears they were only "temporary" and it is getting time to be upgraded, but it is only a report so far, so we'll wait for more news, maybe until new owners are found for the site. Good Luck.
And for tomorrow also.
Cheers

Early finish to fishing trip

Went fishing this morning

Left home at around 4.00am. and was back home by 7.00am. and no fish, but at least this time I have a good excuse, for not bringing any fish home, It was too WINDY, and after consulting with the skipper, we all agreed that it was best to call it a day, and return home.

It looks like it will be a good day to do some work in the garden!
And there is quite a lot to be done.
Here are some of the CHOKOS, that were left over

Will be used in the compost heap....and be recycled!
