BERALA SHOPS - Light at the end of the Tunnel?

Berala missing shopping centre

According to a report in the local paper "The Auburn Review" there could be a some respite for the Berala residents, at least as far as the Car Park goes.

The car park has been fenced off (closed) for quite some time now, forcing shoppers and commuters alike, to find parking further away from the station and shops alike, but according to the report, the car park could be re-opened soon.

The receivers could have found a buyer for the (failed) shopping development, so some further news could be forthcoming!

The car that has been locked up in the car park
it looks lonely!

Will be awaiting next weeks edition, to see if there are any new developments in this long saga.
On the fishing front, I used a new rod last week, after my previous one broke...not because of a BIG fish, but the new rod, was too light for the weight of the sinkers that we use, so I returned it and got a replacement, which I think will be suitable, we'll wait and see, I did catch 7 fish last Sunday, and we saw two lots of Whales going North, one lot in the morning, with 3 Whales, and a second lot of 2 Whales, on our way back to port, plus we saw some Dolphings, and...it was a great day on the water weather wise.
Tomorrow Saturday, is an important day for me, and my wife, our son Adrian is getting married to his fiance Annette.
We wish them both a long and happy life together

One Basket Win

This evening I did manage to pick up one prize, that looks very nice, but when we took it home, we were a bit disappointed, with the contents, the basked was filled with paper and cardboard, so what we got, is what you can see and the top layer!

But a win is a win, so I'm happy with it anyway!

Here is the full view of the basket, and contents

A very nice day fishing

Today's Catch

Today's outing with the Chester Hill RSL Fishing Club off Wollongong, was very enjoyable, the weather was just right, and we also caught some fish, which was also very welcomed, after all, that is the reason that we go fishing!
My largest fish, only weighed 840 grams, and that was 20 grams less than the winner, but I'm quite happy with the catch.

So looks like we'll have fish for the next day or two

I also took this photo, of one of the 10 or so ships at anchor, waiting to go in to Port Kembla, to load up. And now it is time to retire, for a good night sleep.
Cheers
