South West Rocks-Fishing
Last week, I went to South West Rocks, with the Chester Hill RSL fishing club, we were booked in from Sunday afternoon, till Friday morning, including a lay day, in case of bad weather, but as it turned out, we were able to get 3 days of fishing straight, so I returned home on Thursday morning, and was able to get all the fishing gear cleaned up, and get the lawn cut.
The fishing was not too bad, but we could not get any "Spanish Mackerel" it seems that
they had moved on up North, out of our reach...... "should have been here last week", also the current was too strong out wide, so we had to move back in a bit, where we got on to a good patch of Flatheads we hauled in 82, plus we caught some other fish, we took in around 10-11 fish each, on the first day, on the second and third day, we did not get as many fish as the first day, but we got some better quality fish, with a number of sea-perch caught.
We had no trouble crossing the BAR this time, even the smaller boats had no trouble getting out.
