Decided to stay at home this Friday,and show you some plants, and how they have grown.

Disappointing Weekend

Again the weekend started without a win in the raffle ( I think I got spoiled at the beginning) thinking that I would win something every Friday!
But we were going fishing on the Sunday, so all was not lost...but on Saturday morning, the phone rang and I received the news ( not good news) that due to an engine breakdown on the boat, we would not be going fishing on Sunday.
So I will turn to the garden and do some watering (after 4 pm) and do some general tiding up,some of the grandchildren came to visit yesterday, so I picked some broad beans for them.
The spinach are almost ready to start picking, and the new lettuce are also coming up.
And I think now is a good time to go inside and have a nice cup of coffee.
The Fish can wait until next month!

CACTUS plants in pots starting to grow flower spikes.

And a SPINACH plant, new plants are almost ready to be used! Broad BEANS also have their pods ready to be harvested.

Another Friday

Tonight again I had no luck at the weekly raffle. But we are having some rain, and that is very useful for the garden! And makes me happy. During the past week I took a few photos around the harbour.

Our Second Day of Spring

Had quite a nice day in the garden today,
tended to the tomatoes plants that I planted last month, also put in some supports for the "Telephone" peas, and sowed some dwarf beans, for an early crop, and planted some spinach also.
As far as the Friday night RAFFLE goes,Again I won nothing ( it is becoming monotonous)
But now to better things Tomorrow Saturday, in far away MALTA, a special LADY will be celebrating her BIRTHDAY with family and friends.
