Disappointing Weekend

Again the weekend started without a win in the raffle ( I think I got spoiled at the beginning) thinking that I would win something every Friday!
But we were going fishing on the Sunday, so all was not lost...but on Saturday morning, the phone rang and I received the news ( not good news) that due to an engine breakdown on the boat, we would not be going fishing on Sunday.
So I will turn to the garden and do some watering (after 4 pm) and do some general tiding up,some of the grandchildren came to visit yesterday, so I picked some broad beans for them.
The spinach are almost ready to start picking, and the new lettuce are also coming up.
And I think now is a good time to go inside and have a nice cup of coffee.
The Fish can wait until next month!
