One at the time-is good catching

Last Sundays fishing trip report! Not much to report actually, but I'll see what I can say. Being the first day of daylight saving, we all had less sleep than would ordinarily would have been the case, nevertheless we all got to the boat on time, but guess what...the skipper slept in, so we left the wharf about 15 minutes late,as soon as we left the shelter of the harbor,we soon realized that there was quite a big swell running, close inshore, but it went down the further we went away from the coast, when we started fishing, without, too much success, we moved a couple of times and then the wind gradually increased, anti got quite cold, but after a couple of hours, it again changed and smoothed the seas right down. As far as my own fishing went, well.... it was not good, I managed to bring (3) fish into the boat, but two managed to unhook themselves and slide out of the boat and back where they rather be...in the water, but all wasn't lost, I did bring ONE fish home and my wife said it was very nice!

There it is, a nice Flathead, and apart from the eggs, it also a crustacean (where did I get that from ?)in its stomach.
Some of the others on board had a reasonable day, I think the highest catch, was 13 fish, somewhat better than mine!

Back on land, during the past week, just about all the cactus have started to flower, whilst make very beautiful flowers, they only last a few days.

Back in the garden,
