The Passing Away of Aussie Joe

This an older photo, of Joe (Aussie Joe) Camilleri.

Joe passed away on the 22nd of March, in the presence of 2 of his 5 sisters, that had just arrived from Malta, to be with him.

Joe was a keen member of the Revesby Workers Fishing Club, and the" Dooleys" Lidcombe Fishing Club.

Joe will soon be returning to his native Malta, to be laid to rest, with his parents.

Yesterday, Sunday 28th we went fishing with the Dooleys Club, off Wollongong, we did not catch many fish, but we took the opportunity, to float some flowers in the ocean, in memory of our friend Aussie Joe, May He Rest in Peace

Last Friday morning, a lot of his friends, from both Clubs, and Patrons and Staff from the Panania Hotel, where he had been staying for a number of years, attended the religious service at the St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Panania.
