Meat Tray
After a long dry spell, I finally had a win in the club raffle.
A nice tray of meat.
Now that the "Dry" run has been broken, things could get
better, lets hope so.
As promised I have now enclosed one fig tree with some
netting, as I usually do every year around this time.
I place four garden stakes around the tree that has to
be protected from the birds, then place the ends of 2
long plastic pipes in them and bend them as to to make
a cross at the top, and tie them together, for added strenght,
I then stretch the net over it and make sure that it reaches
the ground and is pegged down.
This morning I picked the first fig, and gave it to the "Queen" Eileen, she missed out on them last year, because she was
visiting her other Kingdom. It goes to show, one cannot have
everything
And to finish, I must not forget to wish AUDREY a Happy birthday for Monday the 6th.
Wishing everyone a nice week, and GOOD luck for the Melbourne Cup
