Autumn is Here

The cooler temperatures of Autumn have arrived ! And it is time to plant some Winter crops.

I planted out some Lettuce, two rows of Broadbeans, and a couple of rows of Peas, "Dwarf and Climbing" In the next few days, I'll pull out the old climbing beans, as they all dying down, and are ready for the compost heap. Today whilst looking at the few pots of Orchids that I have, I noticed that 3 have flower "spikes" coming up, hope that 1 or 2 of the others, will also put out some spikes.

Tonight again had no luck at the Raffle, I have become accustomed to that, but I know that you have to be in it to win. Last Sunday we had a BBQ for the family, and I took a couple of photos of Eileen cooking (It is good to have someone else doing the cooking)

She tells me that it is better to cook outside, and I let her, (but only on the electric BBQ)
